Holt Fire Protection District

Our staff is comprised of a combination of full-time, part-time and volunteer members.

The Fire Chief is full-time and reports to the Board of Directors. The Fire Chief is directly responsible for all operations of the Fire Protection District, its personnel and property.

There are Two Assistant Chiefs, One Captain and Two Lieutenants who supervise the shifts, daily operations and incidents. They report  directly to the Fire Chief.

The Holt Community Fire Protection District is staffed 24 hrs. a day by a minimum of two members. These members are Nationally Certified as Firefighters and State Certified as Emergency Medical Technicians or Paramedics. At least one Paramedic member is on duty at all times  and one of the on-duty members is a supervisor.

We have 11 part-time members who are either FF/EMT or FF/Paramedic certified. These members fill in as needed and may respond to calls when off-duty.

We also have seven volunteer members who are certified as a minimum as Basic Firefighter and Medical First Responder. These unpaid members and invaluable to us and supplement the duty crews by responding to calls, providing station coverage, and providing public education. They also participate in training, organizational and community events.
