Fire Suppression
The Holt Community Fire Protection District is actively involved in fire prevention, education and suppression activities. We have two class A fire pumpers, a 4×4 mini pumper and a water tanker available to respond to all types of active fires. These include fires in and around buildings, vehicles and mobile property, grass and wild land fires. We also participate in smoke detector install and give-away programs.
Rescue
The Holt Community Fire Protection District is also trained and equipped to handle different kinds of rescue situations. Typically this involves entrapments in motor vehicle, farm equipment and industrial type machinery. We also respond to water rescues, trench collapses, animal rescues and people trapped in home appliances, fences, jewelry and various other entrapments.
Emergency Medical Services
The Holt Community Fire Protection District provides Advanced Life Support (Paramedic) EMS to the residents, patrons and passers-thru of our borders. Our ambulances are equipped with all of the equipment, medications and staff that are required to perform the job and be licensed as an Advanced Life Support ambulance service. We strive to continually update our protocols and treatments, as well as our equipment and training.
Our fire apparatus are equipped with basic life support equipment to render and first-respond if our ambulance is already on another call.
